Jazz Club Newsletter – April 2018

Time…… 1961 is it really that long ago since the Temperance Seven sat atop of the British Record Charts with a George Martin produced single of “You, You’re driving me crazy”?
Time…. did I imagine it or did Colonel Hitchcock-Galloway really get his braces caught in the escalator at the Café Royal? – some catapult!
Time … Christopher Buckley and his rampant troupe of alchominstrels continue to tour The Seven Seas, flying the flag and promoting all things British.
Time …. 8pm Sunday 20th May 2018 ….. Grayshott Social Club ….. tickets available from the club 01428 604041 ….
Time…. Next Tuesday 24th April …. is our monthly Jazz Club and features as usual Binky’s Dixie Demons ( Not Biggest Disagreements) starring the Balham nightingale himself – Bill Gyford. It promises to be a good evening now the weather has turned and we shrug off the shackles of winter.

A mention also that Bill and the gang will be in attendance at this year’s Firkin Fest beer festival on October 19th. The band will be featured in an ‘unplugged set’.  Whether this means they will be leaving their hearing aids at home has yet to be determined.

Enjoy the jazz
Mike
