Jazz Newsletter May 2018

Great to see all the jazz fans out in force for The Temperance Seven last Sunday. Fresh? from their resounding success at the Nailsworth Festival the previous night. The ageless, ageing antiquarians acquitted themselves with a great display of hot, toe-tapping terpsichordian tom-foolery that had the audience on their feet screaming for more at the end of this humourous and ‘corpse’ ridden performance.

Beware, they will be back!

Back to the near present. Our monthly jazz next Tuesday 29th May continues with the resident band – Binkie’s Dixie Demons and could feature some Bill-crooning with Mike after their well received performance at the Marie Curie Charity Concert last weekend.

Finally we must look forward to July when the club presents Tony Jacobs and the Tuxedo Jazz Orchestra. The band went down so well last year we had to have them back.

Tickets will be available from the club on Tuesday priced at £15 for this very entertaining big band

Keep jazzing Mike
